To transmit data from downhole whilst cementing requires full bore capability and the ability to transmit in a variety of fluid types and at various flow rates.
The acoustic telemetry network was deployed with tools above the setting tool and distributed along the string. Real-time displacement was monitored from downhole utilizing the annular and bore pressure measurements.
The acoustic telemetry network monitored the downhole displacement of the cement and showed that displacement rates were cut on surface before the cement had fully displaced downhole. In addition the set down loads and release of the liner was also monitored. Torque measurements at the liner running tool in real-time allow for actual torque measurements to be monitored when liners are rotated whilst cementing for better cement integrity and well assurance.
